Reaming tools application in wind power and heavy industry 

The taper positioning pin hole plays an irreplaceable role in components such as gearboxes and transmission shafts. The wedge effect formed by a taper of 1:50 or 1:10 generates radial compressive stress, which can achieve self-locking function without additional locking devices. Compared to cylindrical pins, it has higher positioning accuracy and smaller positional deviation after repeated disassembly.

In the mechanical processing of wind turbine gear rings, the machining of taper positioning pin holes for assembly is extremely difficult because the surface roughness requirements for taper holes are high, reaching Ra0.8~Ra1.6; In addition, the aspect ratio L/D of the tapered hole is 9 times the diameter. These two key factors result in the need for special design and manufacturing of tools for machining locating pin holes.
